Arcadia Kids is a group made up of Arcadia neighborhood families who have joined together to make a difference in our community. Each month, a different family chooses and organizes a community service event for others to participate in. Kids learn about leadership and the importance of giving back. Families get easy, year-round opportunities to volunteer together.

Each month, our group tackles a new community project. Past projects have included painting over graffiti in Phoenix, helping senior citizens celebrate their birthdays at a Scottsdale nursing home, a charity toy drive and sale to benefit The Phoenix Children's Hospital, a scavenger hunt food drive to benefit St. Mary's Food Bank, preparing emergency food kids, recycling paper and water bottles, cleaning tables at the Fresh Start Women's Resource Center, collecting hundreds of DVDs for The Phoenix Children's Hospital in cooperation with Harkins Theatres, sorting toys for Andrea's Closet, and cleaning the UMOM thrift store and serving ice cream sundaes to its residents.

Everyone is welcome to join. If you want to be notified of upcoming projects, send an email to hartmancarroll@msn.com. Be sure to mention Arcadia Kids in the email and provide some basic information about your children (name, school, grade level) and a contact phone number.
